Bohemia, NY - September 23, 2016 - Today, AHRC Suffolk was awarded a four-year international accreditation through the Council on Quality and Leadership (CQL).  CQL is dedicated to the definition, measurement and improvement of personal quality of life for people receiving human services and supports.

“I am very pleased that AHRC Suffolk has been officially accredited by The Council on Quality and Leadership (CQL),” said William Leonardi, CEO AHRC Suffolk. “We are all very proud that we have achieved this important distinction which recognizes the person-centered approaches we embrace here at AHRC.”

Throughout this past year AHRC has been working hard towards becoming accredited and this week’s events were a testament to their work and dedication to the people they support. Through presentations and workshops AHRC highlighted their dedication to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live a life that they choose.  This process was not an easy one but through the dedication of AHRC’s staff, families and the individuals they support, they were able to show CQL their commitment to providing exemplary person-centered supports to children and adults with intellectual and other developmental disabilities.
