Nassau County Legislator Carrié Solages (D – Valley Stream) is pleased to report that the Nassau County Department of Public Works (DPW) is now repaving a nearly two-mile stretch of Linden Boulevard from the Queens border to Central Avenue/Exit 13 of the Southern State Parkway – a key component of ongoing revitalization efforts aimed at beuatifying a major gateway to Nassau County.

The Linden Boulevard work spanning Elmont and North Valley Stream began on Thursday, June 26 after being delayed by inclement weather earlier this spring. It follows recently completed work on Elmont Road, which was repaved from Hempstead Turnpike south to Linden Boulevard. Amidst intense heat, Legislator Solages made a midnight visit to the project site to thank workers for their diligence and attention to this critical infrastructure upgrade.

“I have been advocating for this project for a great deal of time, and I am very glad that I was able to secure the funding for this important work,” Legislator Solages said. “Safe roads improve quality of life in our communities and help local entrepreneurs thrive, and I am committed to advancing infrastructure projects that will beautify the gateway to Nassau County and make its business districts more prosperous and vibrant. Please drive safely and plan your commute accordingly as this work is completed.”
