The National Weather Service in Upton has issued a dense fog advisory, which is in effect until 4 am EST Tuesday. * Visibilities...one quarter mile or less at times. * Timing...into the early morning hours on Tuesday. * Impacts...limited visibilities will make travel very difficult. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced to one quarter mile or less. If driving...slow down...use your low beam headlights...and leave plenty of distance ahead of you in case a sudden stop is needed. While visibilities will mainly be in the 1 to 3 mile range, there could be localized areas with visibilities down to one quarter mile or less at times. SCPD are seeking the public’s help to identify the man who burglarized a Bay Shore business in October, 2016.

Bay Shore, NY - June 19, 2017 - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man who burglarized a Bay Shore business in October.
 
A man broke the front glass door of Mavis Discount Tire, located at 1742 Sunrise Highway, entered and stole cash on October 20, 2016. The man fled and was picked up in a vehicle in the parking lot of a nearby business.
 
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
