In a fishing group on Facebook yesterday, a fisherman posted a video of what looks like a Mako shark struggling in the waves on shore.
The poster said it wasn't his video.
News 12 also resported on the incident, saying that a commercial fisherman spotted the shark.
"The fisherman pulled over to help and called the state Department of Environmental Conservation and the Town of Hempstead Bay constable," News 12 reported. "By the time they arrived, the shark was able to swim away."
