Suffolk County, NY - May 8, 2018 - NYS Senator Phil Boyle hosted his 6th annual “I Love My Park Day” event at five sites throughout the 4th Senate District this past Saturday, May 5, 2018.

Senator Boyle showed his support for all the work volunteers were accomplishing during the annual event that took place at Connetquot State Park, Heckscher State Park, Bayard Cutting Arboretum, Belmont Lake and Robert Moses State Park, amongst other parks around N.Y State. It was a great day for volunteers to celebrate New York’s park system by cleaning up parklands and beaches, planting trees and gardens, restoring trails and wildlife habitat, removing invasive species, and working on various improvement projects.

“I Love My Parks Day” is an exciting statewide event, organized by Parks & Trails New York in partnership with the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation and local Friends groups, to celebrate and enhance New York's parks and historic sites to bring visibility to the entire park system in need.
