Suffolk Sheriff’s Office Holds Promotional Ceremony

Over 40 Members of the Sheriff’s Office Recognized for Recent Promotions.

On Tuesday, April 29, Suffolk County Sheriff Errol D. Toulon, Jr. held a promotional ceremony at the Yaphank Correctional Facility.

“On behalf of the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office, I congratulate these men on women on their achievements and wish them success in their new roles. It takes a degree of high caliber and merit to rise the ranks and their work and dedication is valued,” said Sheriff Errol D. Toulon, Jr. 

The ceremony recognized more than 40 Correction Officers, Deputy Sheriffs and professional staff for promotions and investigator appointments in the last year. Friends and family were invited to celebrate the occasion. Rank promotions are achieved by through exceptional marks on highly competitive exams in addition to their distinguished service in the Sheriff’s organization.
