Suffolk County Police on Thursday, April 24 issued a man multiple tickets after he was pulled over for driving with a phony passenger in the HOV lane on the Long Island Expressway in Melville this afternoon.
 
A Highway Patrol officer was traveling on the Long Island Expressway, near exit 50, when he became suspicious of the front passenger of a 1998 Honda in the HOV lane at approximately 4:40 p.m.
 
The officer initiated a traffic stop and observed a mannequin in the front passenger seat in an attempt to make it look like there was a passenger in the vehicle.
 
Arisme McGregor, 33, of Bellport, was issued summonses for the HOV occupancy violations as well as for window tint.
