A new pizzeria opened on Main Street in Farmingdale, offering a little different take on your typical pizza place run by celebrity chef Marc Bynum. Bynum, a three-time Chopped Champion, opened Hush Bistro in Farmingdale back in 2014.

This new spot is Bynum’s return to restaurants. Bynum did start MB Ramen, which he parted ways from and opened his own ramen food truck parked in Farmingdale in 2022.

At The Pie Hole, you will get Bynum’s mix of rock and roll and food. His pizzas have musical-themed names like the Earth, Wind & Fire, Caribbean Queen or The Biggie (a Sicilian pie). It’s not just the pizza. The Country Grammar is St. Louis ribs chipotle barbecue sauce, potato wedges and cornbread.

On Yelp, Dmitriy A, from Plainview, gave them high praise.

“This is a much needed variation on the local pizza places,” he said. “First bite = a magical explosion of flavor!”

Brian R gave them five stars.

“Walked in on my day off and ordered 2 of each (of most) of the available pies (around 10 slices from 5 different pies),” he said. “Each one was better than the last!”
