Teen Injured in East Farmingdale Shooting

East Farmingdale, NY - December 31st, 2014 -  Suffolk County Police First Squad detectives are investigating a shooting in which an 18-year-old woman was struck by a stray bullet last night.

Approximately 150 people were attending a party that was being hosted by local DJs at Theater 294 in East Farmingdale when an altercation erupted in the rear parking lot of the establishment at approximately 11:55 p.m. Several gunshots were fired during the fight and a female bystander was struck in the right thigh by a bullet.

The woman was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip where she is listed in good condition.

Police have not made any arrests and this incident is still under investigation. Detectives are asking anyone with any information about this crime to contact the First Squad at 631-854-8152 or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
