Mastic Beach, NY, April 23, 2013 – The William Floyd School District Board of Education recently recognized eight members of its school community – from the staff, faculty, administration and the board of education – who were honored by SCOPE Education Services as “Shining Stars” at the 13th Annual School District Awards Dinner last month. Shining Stars are those members of the William Floyd community recognized for their exemplary service to education and to the William Floyd School District.
Congratulations to the honorees! The 2014 Shining Stars include: Robert Taiani, School Board Service, school board trustee; Herb Hodge, Administrator Service, coordinator of facilities; Tom Patrizio, Teacher Service, William Floyd High School psychologist; Sandi Aykroyd, Teacher Service, Nathaniel Woodhull Elementary School; Kathy Lofgren, Support Service, secretary, William Floyd Elementary School; Maria Toscano, Support Service, community aide, central registration; Dianne Thompsen, Support Service, paraprofessional, Moriches Elementary School; and Rich Palmer, Support Service, security, William Floyd Middle School.
