Suffolk County, NY - April 18, 2018 - On April 11, 2018 the Suffolk County SPCA received a call that a one (1) year old male beagle mix, Frankie, was tethered on a short leash with no water available in a truck yard. The dog had a severely injured leg that was dislocated in two (2) spots, a broken bone and an open wound and injury to hip joint. The injury to his leg was so severe that it impaired his ability to walk. The dog had been allegedly struck by a vehicle over a week before without receiving any veterinary care.
