Members of the local community and Dunkin’ fans alike poured into Dunkin’s newly remodeled next generation restaurant at 90 Railroad Ave. at Ronkonkoma Station Plaza on Thursday, April 3 as part of its grand reopening ceremony.

Dunkin’ franchisee Uri Back of FKB Donuts, Inc. commemorated the occasion with a $3,000 donation to The Lighthouse Mission, in conjunction with the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation. The Lighthouse Mission has been providing food, clothing and hope to struggling Long Island families since 1992. The Lighthouse Mission exists to feed the hungry and help the homeless by sharing God's love with people in need in practical ways.

"FKB Donuts and The Dunkin' Joy in Childhood Foundation's $3,000 donation is a game-changer for The Lighthouse Mission,” said The Lighthouse Mission President Pastor Jim Ryan. “The Foundation's support will enable us to continue serving Long Island's hungry through our daily food distribution programs, bringing hope and nourishment to those in need. We're grateful to the Foundation and FKB Donuts for their partnership in our efforts to make a meaningful difference in the Long Island community."

Representatives from the offices of New York State Senator Dean Murray, Town of Islip Councilman John Lorenzo and Suffolk County Legislator Trish Bergin joined the celebration and participated in a commemorative ribbon-cutting ceremony.
