Man Critically Injured in Patchogue Motor Vehicle Crash, Cops Say

Trevor MacDonald of Patchogue, 31, was transported via Suffolk County Police helicopter to Stony Brook University Hospital in critical condition.

Suffolk County Police Fifth Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that critically injured a man in Patchogue on Wednesday, April 12.
 
Trevor MacDonald was driving a 1998 Toyota Camry westbound on Silver Street when he attempted to make a left turn onto southbound Medford Avenue and came to a complete stop on the left northbound lane at 4:19 p.m. A 2022 Ford F150 driven by Vincent Baumann, was traveling northbound on Medford Avenue and struck the Toyota.
 
MacDonald, 31, of Patchogue, was transported via Suffolk County Police helicopter to Stony Brook University Hospital in critical condition. Baumann, 55, of Patchogue, was not injured.
 
Both vehicles were impounded for a safety check. Anyone with information on the crash is asked to contact Fifth Squad Detectives at 631-854-8552.
