Coastal Flood Statement issued December 13 at 5:33PM EST until December 14 at 2:00PM EST by NWS Upton NY * WHAT...Up to one half foot of inundation above ground level expected in vulnerable areas near the waterfront and shoreline. * WHERE...Southwestern Suffolk, Southeastern Suffolk and Northeastern Suffolk Counties. * WHEN...During the times of high tide Saturday morning through Saturday afternoon. * COASTAL FLOOD IMPACTS...Brief minor flooding of the more vulnerable locations near the waterfront and shoreline. * SHORELINE IMPACTS...Breaking surf of 9 to 13 ft along the Atlantic Ocean beachfront will cause significant beach flooding and erosion during the times of high tide Saturday into Saturday Night. Scattered areas of dune erosion and localized washovers are possible during the times of high tide Saturday morning into afternoon.

Seaford, NY - March 11, 2015 - Seventh Precinct Officers report the arrest of five individuals during a “Project 21” initiative that took place on Wednesday, March 11, 2015.
 
The following individuals sold alcohol to a 19-year-old underage agent:
 
1.    Yoonsoon Kim, 61, of 3417 Lufberry Ave. Wantagh
     Cherrywood Wine, Wantagh Ave. Wantagh
2.    Jorge Aguilar, 39, of 59 E. Centenial Ave. Roosevelt
Cappy’s Wine & Liquor, Wantagh Ave. Wantagh
3.    Ke Ding, 21, of 16222 75th Ave. Apt. 1 Fresh Meadows
Vintage Wine & Spirits, Jerusalem Ave. Seaford
4.    Mohamed Hussain, 59, of 38 Rhode Island Ave. Massapequa
Sunergy (gas station), Hicksville Rd. Massapequa
5.    Wen Qin Chen, 41, of 87 Columbia St. Apt. 8F New York, NY
Discount Liquor, Sunrise Hwy. Massapequa
           
All the defendants were released on Appearance Tickets and charged with Prohibited Sale of Alcohol to a Person Under 21. They are due to respond to First District Court, Hempstead on 03/25/2015.
