NCPD: Brooklyn Man Arrested for Robbing Two Nassau County Businesses at Gunpoint

NCPD reports the arrest of Stephen Scott of Brooklyn, 30, in connection with two robberies.

Nassau County, NY - February 20, 2019 - Major Case Squad detectives report an arrest in connection with two robberies that occurred on Thursday, January 3, 2019 in Nassau County.
 
According to Robbery Squad detectives, two (2) males entered Jada’s Luxury Beauty Supply located at 488 Hempstead Turnpike, Elmont, at approximately 6:18 pm. The men approached the female victim, 32, displayed a handgun and demanded money. The victim did not comply with the subjects and was repeatedly punched in the face and body. The individuals fled the scene in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of US currency.
 
The same subjects entered Modern Vape and Convenience Store located at 1141 N. Broadway, Massapequa, at approximately 9:22 pm. The subjects approached the victim and displayed a handgun, demanded money and lotto tickets. A brief struggle ensued and the victim complied with the subjects. The subjects fled the scene in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of US currency and lotto scratch off tickets.
 
Robbery Squad detectives report the Arrest of Stephen Scott, 30, of Brooklyn, for the above Robberies.
 
Defendant Scott is charged with two (2) counts of Robbery 1st Degree and two (2) counts of Criminal Use of a Firearm 1st Degree. He will be arraigned on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at First District Court, Hempstead.
