This patchy black ice will be mainly confined to secondary and tertiary roadways, along with walkways and poor drainage areas. Couple Attempts to Use Counterfeit $100 Bills, Strikes Cop While Fleeing Scene, Officials Say

SCPD: The suspects attempted to use counterfeit currency at the CVS in Amityville, and hit a responding Amityville Police officer with their vehicle while escaping.

SCPD are seeking the man and woman who attempted to use counterfeit currency at an Amityville store.

Amityville, NY - February 20, 2019 - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Amityville Police Detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man and woman who attempted to use counterfeit currency at an Amityville store in December. 
A man and woman entered CVS, located at 349 Broadway, on December 5 at approximately 4 p.m., and attempted to use counterfeit hundred dollar bills. The clerk notified Amityville Police. An officer responded and found the man and woman sitting in a dark colored SUV. As the officer attempted to question the two, the woman backed up the vehicle, striking the officer, and crashing into a parked car before leaving the scene. 
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
