Nassau County, NY - February 17, 2015 - Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano announced today that the next meeting of the Nassau County Inventors and Entrepreneurs Club will feature the founders of the largest 3D printing network in the world, 3dhubs.com. The club, sponsored by the Nassau County Industrial Development Agency, will meet at 7:00 p.m. on February 23rd in the Ceremonial Chamber of the Nassau County Executive and Legislative Building, located at 1550 Franklin Ave., Mineola, New York 11501.

Expected to speak are: Filemon Schoffer, 3DHubs.com global head of community, Nikki Finnemore, 3DHubs.com U.S. community manager, and Alex Meckes, 3DHubs.com 3D printing expert. 3DHubs is the world’s largest and fastest growing network of 3D printers. 3D Hubs makes 3D printing locally accessible to everyone, thus 3D changing the way products are manufactured and distributed.

Owners of 3D printers can post their printing availability on the site, describe what printer they have and what type of material they can use and designers can upload their drawings for a quote, print, and local pickup. Today, the network provides more than a billion people with access to a 3D printer within 10 miles of their homes.

County Executive Mangano said, “Having the founders of the Global 3D Printing Network speak to our inventors and entrepreneurs and provide advice can be invaluable as they are emerging with innovative products and seeking to go beyond the development phase.”
