The Suffolk County Police Department was notified and assisted the Nassau Detectives in an attempt to stop the defendant’s vehicle as he continued to drive westbound committing many VTL violations. The defendant changed direction, continued to drive erratically and refused to stop until he drove back to his home. The defendant refused to exit his vehicle even though the driver’s door was open; he then reached toward the floor with his hand. At that time K-9 Champ assisted in affecting the arrest as the defendant struggled with Officers.
