Babylon Carriage House Closes Its Doors, Restaurant Announces via Facebook

After nearly 20 years, the Babylon Carriage House - a popular restaurant and bar located at located at 21 Fire Island Avenue in Babylon - has closed its doors for business albeit tempoarily it seems.

The announcement was made via a January 4 post in their Facebook page, where the eatery's ownership thanked their staff and the community for their support over the years.

"After nearly 20 years since its opening, Babylon Carriage House has closed its doors," the post said. "We thank our staff and our community for your continued support and can't wait to share what's to come."

However, the restaurant seemed to leave the door open for a possible return in the future, adding in the comments that, "All gift certificates will be redeemable when we reopen."

The Babylon Carriage House originally opened their doors for business in 2003.
