This municipal 18-hole golf course is crafted into 110 acres and is open to Lake Success residents only. Orrin Smith designed the first nine holes in 1958 and Stephan Kay reworked the course in 1989. Golfers may choose from three tees, the longest course being 6,294 yards with a par value of 70, a rating of 70.7 and a slope of 128. The challenging layout is hilly and narrow with tree-lined fairways and well-bunkered, fast, undulating greens. The beautiful large lake in the middle becomes a water hazard for three holes. A driving range, equipment rentals, caddies and lesson opportunities from the on-site golfing pro are also available. With a country club atmosphere, this facility offers a full bar, snack bar and restaurant. The Spanish-deco style clubhouse also features a banquet hall, outdoor terrace and catering services for 600. The lovely views are one more reason to enjoy this golfing facility.
