Gilgo State Park offers its visitors beautiful scenic views of both the Atlantic Ocean and the Great South Bay.  Although undeveloped, fishing is very popular in the fall when the stripe bass migration. 
 
The park is accessible by 4 wheel drive vehicles only and requires a special permit. Swimming is not permitted.
