Long Island Hispanic Bar Association’s Food Drive Targets Food Insecure Communities

The Long Island Hispanic Bar Association (LIHBA) recently held its annual food drive, which was a huge success.

Thanks to generous donations from LIHBA members and Sullivan Papain Block McGrath Coffinas & Cannavo (SPBMCC), PC, Bower Law, PC, the families at Twin Oaks Country Day School, Sunshine Research Inc., and Big Apple Research, Inc., LIHBA collected food and over $3,700 in cash donations that were used to purchase supermarket gift cards.

This year, the LIHBA was able to donate food and/or gift cards to the following community partners: Hempstead Hispanic Civic Association, Circulo de la Hispanidad, Pentecostal de Hempstead De Las Asamblea de Dios, Pronto and Sepa Mujer. LIHBA President Liza Milgrim, a partner in SPBMCC said that the food drive was one of the most successful ever.
