Get up close and personal with your favorite stars and comic book celebrities at Eternal Con, the Long Island Comic Con at Hofstra University on July 8 and 9. Kids and adults are invited to dress as their favorite characters for this fun, intimate, and educational family-friendly pop culture experience featuring activities for all ages.
Guests can expect a weekend packed with events including informative panels, movie screenings, Q&As, and the biggest cosplay contest on Long Island. See many of the creators who have worked on Marvel, DC, and independent comics and view artwork. Among the many celebrity guests will be Dan Fogler, The Big Show (Saturday only), Brent Spiner of Star Trek: The Next Generation, and Ryan Hurst of The Walking Dead and Sons of Anarchy. Autographs and photo-ops are available for separate charges.
Kids Day is Sunday, July 9 Featuring the Jedi Academy
Sunday, July 9 is Kids Day for little superheroes. Many libraries, museums, and cultural attractions will present free craft projects for children, costume parades, contests, and other “super” surprises. Kids will also have an opportunity to meet with artists, writers, and other professionals in the comic book industry. One of the biggest events of the weekend is the Eternal Con “Jedi Academy” where a group of Jedi will teach LightSaber techniques to kids 12 and under. Kids 10 and under are free all weekend.
Tickets start at $30 for an adult one-day admission on Saturday and $25 for an adult one-day admission on Sunday. Admission for kids 10 - 12 are $10 for Saturday, $15 for Sunday, and $22 for both days. Kids 10 and under are free. Show hours are Saturday, July 8 from 10:30 a.m – 7p.m. and Sunday, July 9, from 10:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Eternal Con takes place at the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex at
