SCPD are investigating a vehicle crash that killed a pedestrian in Melville.

Melville, NY - June 8, 2018 - Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a pedestrian in Melville on Friday, June 8, 2018.
 
A man was walking across Pinelawn Road, north of Express Drive North, when he was struck by a 2009 Toyota Rav4 at approximately 4 a.m.
 
The pedestrian, William Brady, 25, of Melville, was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner. The driver of the Toyota, Roger Melendez, 52, of Lindenhurst, and his passenger, Nancy Macedo, 49, were not injured.
 
The vehicle was impounded for a safety check. Anyone with information on the crash is asked to contact the Second Squad at 631-854-8252.
