AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM THIS MORNING TO 11 PM EDT THIS EVENING The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has issued an Air Quality Health Advisory for the following counties... Richmond...Kings...Queens...New York...Bronx...Westchester... Rockland...Nassau...and Suffolk. from 11 AM this morning to 11 PM EDT this evening. Air quality levels in outdoor air are predicted to be greater than an Air Quality Index value of 100 for the pollutant of Ground Level Ozone . The Air Quality Index...or AQI...was created as an easy way to correlate levels of different pollutants to one scale. The higher the AQI value...the greater the health concern. When pollution levels are elevated...the New York State Department of Health recommends that individuals consider limiting strenuous outdoor physical activity to reduce the risk of adverse health effects. People who may be especially sensitive to the effects of elevated levels of pollutants include the very young...and those with preexisting respiratory problems such as asthma or heart disease. Those with symptoms should consider consulting their personal physician. A toll free air quality hotline has been established so New York residents can stay informed on the air quality situation. Subject of upcoming HBO Documentary is inspired to create not-for-profit

The mission of Natasha's Justice Project is to eliminate the nation's rape kit backlog crisis and empower survivors of sexual assault through education, advocacy and funding.

West Sayville, New York - May 4, 2011 - The Staff and Board of Directors of Natasha's Justice Project are pleased to announce the launch of this distinctive charity. NJP strives to end the rape kit backlog and assist survivors of sexual assault through education, advocacy and funding.

The event will take place on May 24th, beginning at 6:30PM at the Milleridge Cottage, 585 North Broadway, Jericho, New York. In addition to the introduction of Natasha Alexenko, the not-for-profit's namesake and Suffolk County resident, guests will be treated to a preview of Emmy-award winning Director Lisa F Jackson's upcoming HBO documentary Sex Crimes Unit, in which Natasha's journey is featured. Attendees will enjoy food and drink, as well as raffles and silent auctions while contributing to a worthy cause.
