The Homicide Squad reports the details of a Homicide that occurred on Thursday, May 9, 2025 at 6:51 PM in Freeport.
According to Detectives, Freeport Police responded to a call of a male possibly stabbed in front of 139 Frederick Avenue. Upon arrival, Officers located an adult male victim who sustained an apparent puncture wound and administered medical aid.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced by a physician at 8:30 PM.
Upon further investigation, Detectives determined that defendant Ivory Washington, 46 of, Hempstead, did stab the victim during a domestic incident causing his death. Officers located defendant Ivory Washington and placed her under arrest without incident.
The defendant was transported to a local area hospital for evaluation.
Defendant Ivory Washington is charged with Manslaughter 1st Degree and Criminal Possession of Weapon 3rd Degree. She will be arraigned when medically practical.
The investigation is ongoing.
