Suffolk County Police First Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that seriously injured a pedestrian in Deer Park last night.
 
Laura Clarke was crossing Bay Shore Road at the intersection of Lincoln Avenue, when she was struck by an eastbound 2014 Honda CRV, driven by Maria Lopez, at approximately 8:40 p.m. 
 
Clarke, 58, of Wyandanch, was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, for treatment of serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Lopez, 42, of Bay Shore, was not injured.
 
The vehicle was impounded for a safety check. 
 
Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to contact the First Squad at 631-854-8152.
