Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that seriously injured a bicyclist in Brentwood last night.
 
Cesar Guevara was riding a bicycle westbound on Suffolk Avenue, when he was struck by a 1998 Lincoln Town Car traveling southbound on Wicks Road, at approximately 9:55 p.m.
 
Cesar Guevara, 32, of Brentwood, was transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore for treatment of serious injuries. The driver of the Lincoln, Melvin Lazo, 53, of Brentwood, was not injured.
 
The Lincoln was impounded for a safety check.
 
Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to contact the Third Squad at 631-854-8352.
