Greenvale Home Invasion Thwarted: One Suspect Arrested, Another at Large After Armed Burglary and Attempted Robbery

An undomiciled man was arrested following a masked, armed home invasion in Greenvale, with one suspect still at large.

The Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of an undomiciled man for a Burglary that occurred on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 12:49 am in Greenvale.
 
According to Robbery Squad Detectives, two male subjects, wearing masks and all dark clothing, entered an occupied Locust Court residence, threatening two male victims and two female victims, ages 22, 24, 61, and 71 with a black handgun. A male victim did fire a shotgun at one of the subjects and both suspects fled the scene on foot.
 
A short time later, Defendant Anthony W. Vasquez, 31, was located several blocks away and taken into custody by Bureau of Special Operations (BSO) Officers with the assistance of the Nassau County Police Canine Unit (K9) and officers from the 6th Precinct.
 
At this time, the proceeds are undetermined and no injuries were reported.
 
Defendant Vasquez is being charged with Burglary 1st Degree, Criminal Use of a Firearm 1st Degree, Attempted Robbery 1st Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree, and Criminal Possession of a Firearm. He will be arraigned on Sunday, January 28, 2024 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
