Scattered power outages are expected. Limited visibilities will make travel very difficult. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A Wind Advisory is issued when sustained winds of 31 to 39 mph... or gusts of 46 to 57 mph...are expected or occurring. Winds this strong can make driving difficult...especially for high profile vehicles. NCPD Looking for East Meadow Robber

An unidentified woman robbed a TD Bank early Sunday afternoon.

East Meadow, NY - March 23, 2014 - The Robbery Squad is investigating a bank Robbery that occurred on Sunday, March 23, 2014 at 12:10 PM in East Meadow.
 
According to detectives, an unknown female subject entered the TD Bank located at 2549 Hempstead Turnpike and showed a demand note to a teller. After obtaining an undetermined amount of US currency, the subject fled the scene in an unknown direction possibly in a dark colored auto. The subject is described as a female black, medium to dark complexion, 5’4” – 5’6” tall, in her 40’s, slim build, wearing a gray scarf, dark colored sweater and dark colored jeans. There were 6 employees and 2 customers inside the bank at the time of the robbery.  There were no reported injuries.
