Long Island...most of northeast New Jersey...and coastal portions of the lower Hudson Valley and Fairfield County. * Accumulations...snow accumulation of 2 to 6 inches...along with up to around a tenth of an inch of ice. * Visibilities...1/4 to 1/2 miles at times. * Timing...snow develops beginning late Sunday morning over western portions of the tri-state...then expands over the remainder of the advisory area Sunday afternoon. The snow will mix with or change to freezing rain across New York City... Long Island...most of northeast New Jersey...and coastal portions of the lower Hudson Valley and Fairfield County Sunday evening. The precipitation will taper off from west to east after midnight Sunday night. * Impacts...snow covered surfaces...coated with ice in areas... will make traveling difficult at times. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow...sleet...or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. NCPD Looking for East Meadow Robber

An unidentified woman robbed a TD Bank early Sunday afternoon.

East Meadow, NY - March 23, 2014 - The Robbery Squad is investigating a bank Robbery that occurred on Sunday, March 23, 2014 at 12:10 PM in East Meadow.
 
According to detectives, an unknown female subject entered the TD Bank located at 2549 Hempstead Turnpike and showed a demand note to a teller. After obtaining an undetermined amount of US currency, the subject fled the scene in an unknown direction possibly in a dark colored auto. The subject is described as a female black, medium to dark complexion, 5’4” – 5’6” tall, in her 40’s, slim build, wearing a gray scarf, dark colored sweater and dark colored jeans. There were 6 employees and 2 customers inside the bank at the time of the robbery.  There were no reported injuries. 
 
Detectives request anyone with information regarding this crime to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.  All callers will remain anonymous.
