Montauk, NY - On October 9, the 2nd Annual Striped Bass Tournament was held at Star Island Yacht Club. Three hundred anglers and 77 boats participated in the event, with $10,000 in total prize money paid out. The winners were:
Heaviest Striped Bass - 46.6 lbs. Boat: "Caprice." Owner: Bob Sztorc. Angler: Todd Fontana
2nd Heaviest Striped Bass - 43.0 lbs. Boat: "Mako 23." Owner: Hugh Chancey. Angler: Rick Gulia
3rd Heaviest Striped Bass - 42.4 lbs. Boat: "Elizabeth." Owner: Bob Maier. Angler: Ken Howard
Heaviest Blue Fish - 13.3 lbs. Boat: "Mako 23." Owner: Hugh Chancey. Angler: Rick Gulia
