Key Programming and Data Transfer

Key programming is the process used to make a brand new key work. The process is usually performed by a locksmith, or the dealer.

To program a new key, place it in the ignition and switch the key to the "On" position without starting the vehicle. This must be repeated a specified number of times in a short period of time.
