Choosing a Large Clay Chiminea

Mexican Chimeneas are among the most efficient fire pits for patios. They are simple to put together and easy to light. They are not meant for fireplaces that roar. The direct contact of wood charcoals with the clay may cause cracks. To prevent this the possibility of cracking, a layer of three inches of sand must be put on the bottom of the chimenea.
