Players can upgrade their weapons, armor and trinkets. Some upgrades have special effects while others boost the numeric stats.

The upgrade of items is an essential part of the Path of Exile progression. They improve the damage of gear/ships and combat effectiveness. Most items that don't change in requirements after upgrading (like Eth Ti
