Mesothelioma

Mesothelioma is a type of cancer that develops in the linings that surround organs. It is most commonly found in the lung (pleura) but can also affect the lining of the abdomen (peritoneum) as well as the heart or the testicles.

Exposure to asbestos fibres can be the cause of mesothelioma. Typically, symptoms don't appear until decades after exposure.
