If your 500 keyfob stops functioning, try another to test if it will be detected by the car. If it does, then the issue is likely with the original fob's battery, or water damage.

Replace the battery first. Make sure that the new # CR2032 coin battery is inserted correctly, with the "+" side facing down in the fob.
