Federal Employers Liability Act For Railroad Workers

Railroad workers are in danger when they perform their jobs, so they need protection. Congress approved the Federal Employers Liability Act, or FELA in 1908. This law permits railroad workers injured to sue their employers. This law also sets uniform liability standards across the industry.
