Items and Upgrade Components in World of Warcraft

Upgrading items can be an excellent way to boost the value of your weapon and armor. Upgrades to common and magical gear are rarely worthwhile, since rare or unique items are likely to outperform them.

An item can be upgraded up to six times. Each upgrade adds points to the gauge of level of the item.
