Bond Vet, a female-led, veterinarian-founded company, announced it will be expanding to Long Island, including locations in Merrick (2192 Merrick Rd), Woodbuy (8285 Jericho Turnpike), Roslyn (1060 Northern Blvd) and several others in the next year.

Bond Vet offers both primary care and urgent care veterinary services including wellness exams, vaccines, spay/neuters, as well as surgeries, dental cleanings, international health certificates and more.

The owners say that they focus their efforts on four pillars to create a better type of veterinary company: design, technology, service, and culture. According to the company they strive to create calm, comfortable spaces for pets and people, a tech-savvy experience for booking and medical records, and thoughtful approaches to treatment plans, all under one roof with convenient and accessible hours.

“We pioneered the concept of urgent care in New York, and we’ve seen great traction — we’re clearly filling a need for modern pets and pet parents,” says Mo Punjani, co-founder and CEO of Bond Vet, which raised $170 million in fall 2021 to bring Bond Vet’s services to more markets along the East Coast.

Bond Vet’s first clinic opened in June 2019 in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn, with a mission to strengthen the human-animal bond through better vet care. Today, Bond Vet has 16 locations across New York, Boston and the Greater Washington DC area that offer primary and urgent care.

In addition to the physical clinic locations, Bond Vet’s Telehealth services provide same-day visits, medication shipments (if needed) and on-demand answers, all from the comfort of home. A 20-minute online vet visit is similar to an in-person visit — a licensed Bond Vet Veterinarian asks a few questions, takes a look at their pet over camera, asks further questions and offers next steps and treatments, if applicable.

These will be the company’s first Long Island locations.
