Movement was east at 50 mph. HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Suspect Wanted for Robbing Carle Place Maternity Store at Gunpoint

Major Case Bureau detectives are investigating a Robbery that occurred on November 17, 2015 at 8:30 pm in Carle Place.

Carle Place, NY - November 18th, 2015 - Major Case Bureau detectives are investigating a Robbery that occurred on November 17, 2015 at 8:30 pm in Carle Place.

According to detectives, a male black subject, wearing a bright green traffic vest and handling a broom, entered Destination Maternity, 120 Glen Cove Road pretending to be a cleaner. After turning around with his face covered by a mask, he displayed a handgun to two female employees and ordered them to open the cash register and the safe.

He then forced them into the back of the store and bound their hands behind their backs with plastic “Zip Ties”. After removing an undetermined amount of money from the stores cash register and safe, he fled in an unknown direction.

The uninjured victims, who were able to free themselves, called 911. They described the subject as being around 6’0 tall with a thin build and wearing dark colored clothing.
