A new pizzeria opened in Sound Beach last weekend to the delight of locals who have been chatting it up on social media. Marinelli’s opened up at 257 Echo Avenue, in the spot that was Robert Anthony’s Italian Bistro, which rebranded from CaraMia Pizzeria in 2020. The pizza spot is under new ownership.
Want traditional pizza? They have it. Want a specialty slice? They have that too, including a deep dish pie with sausage, meatball, pepperoni, cherry peppers, ricotta and mozzarella ($28.50) and a vegetarian pizza with spinach, broccoli, mushrooms, roasted peppers, and mozzarella ($24.95). Marinelli’s also offers personal pizzas.

Italian entrees are also on the menu. Marinelli’s offers chicken par, ($17.95), eggplant rollatini ($21.95), and shrimp fra diavolo ($23.95) among a host of other options. All with your choice of pasta.
