Woodbury, NY - October 25, 2018 - On Thursday, October 18th, Suffolk County Legislator Sarah Anker joined Suffolk County Police Commissioner Geraldine Hart to honor 50 women from across Long Island at the Long Island Business News Top 50 Women in Business Awards at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury. Since 2000, the Top 50 Women in Business program has recognized the Island's top women professionals for business acumen, mentoring and community involvement. The program's honorees are selected by a judging committee and represent the most influential women in business, government and the not-for-profit fields.
 
“Women have become a stronger force in business, government, and in their local communities, and it is important to recognize their hard work, dedication, and altruism that will inspire the next generation of women in leadership roles,” said Legislator Anker. “I offer my sincerest congratulations to the honorees.”
