After shutting their doors six months ago in order to keep both customers and employees safe during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Syosset-based Puzzle Break Long Island is happy to announce that they are finally back and open for business, with more fun – and safety – than ever before!

“Like a lot of businesses hit by COVID, we’ve weathered the pandemic and have finally come out on the other side,” said East Coast Puzzle Break COO Justin Williams. “It’s been rough for everyone throughout all this, but we’re very excited to be open again and to be able to welcome our fans back.”

Now that the community spread of COVID-19 has been reduced to acceptable levels, Puzzle Break finally reopened in September after remaining closed since March.  To maintain the highest level of safety possible in order to keep both guests and employees safe, the popular escape room business has gone above and beyond in implementing numerous measures aimed at sanitation, health, and wellness in the face of the “new normal” that we all must live in.

Face masks and temperature checks are required for all guests, overall occupancy levels have been reduced, and all rooms are thoroughly and completely cleaned and sanitized after each and every game. Forgot a mask or gloves? No worries, Puzzle Break has them available at no charge as well. Even their pencils are disposable now, so they aren’t used game-to-game.

In addition, all room bookings are now private, regardless of party size; guests are no longer paired up with other people if their party is below a certain number. What this means is that you will only be engaging in Puzzle Break’s challenging puzzle rooms with your friends and loved ones, truly making the environment as safe as possible.

“All our games are now automatically made private,” Williams said. “You’re only playing with the people you came with, with whom you may have met up with beforehand to have lunch or dinner. You definitely do not have to worry about being matched up with any other guests.”

All of these stringent safety measures – and many more – make Puzzle Break a great and healthy option when contrasted against many other activities out there where exposure to random people is the norm.

Puzzle Break offers four distinct escape games — Escape the Midnight Carnival, Escape the Lost Temple, Escape from 20,000 Leagues, and The Grimm Escape, each with their own unique mind-bending puzzles. Puzzle Break also offers numerous party and team-building packages for people of all ages, ranging from playing a single game with a few friends to an all-day retreat with food and beverages.

Additionally, with the Halloween season upon us, Puzzle Break is incorporating this unique time of year into their location to make for even more fun and excitement for their guests. Halloween decorations and candy are in abundance, and guests are encouraged to wear costumes in order to invoke the fun of the season for one and all.

After weathering the worst of COVID-19 and finally re-opening their doors for business, Williams could scarcely contain his excitement at being able to welcome his customers back to Puzzle Break.

“We’re so glad to finally have our fans back…we know they’ve been looking for things to do after an extended period of people being stuck in their homes without any recreational activities,” he said. “We’ve been spending a lot of time re-training staff and increasing the duration between games to allow more time for cleaning. We’re doing things the right way and sparing no expense to make sure Puzzle Break is as safe and clean as it can possibly be for our guests and staff.”
