In a historic visit to the Sperry Gyroscope facility at Lake Success, Senator Robert Kennedy, accompanied by Defense Secretary Robert McNamara, arrived by helicopter.
The eminent guests were warmly welcomed by Nassau County Executive Eugene Nickerson on their arrival. Accompanying the distinguished trio were various prominent figures, with an unidentified news correspondent to the left. U.S. Representative Lester Wolff stood resolutely behind them, flanked by Suffolk County Executive H. Lee Dennison on his right, showcasing the significance of this momentous event.
