Man Arrested for 7 Burglaries at Nassau Businesses

The Third Squad reports the arrest of a Hicksville man on Tuesday, August 23,
2022 at 4:10 pm in Hempstead.
 
 
According to detectives, a thorough investigation determined that Scott
Gilmor, 45, of 125 Cortland Avenue, was responsible for multiple Burglaries that
occurred in Nassau County on the following dates:
 
 August 23, 2022 at 2:00 am – Raceway Deli, 548 Westbury Avenue, Carle
Place
 August 22, 2022 at 3:12 am – Road Ready Auto Repair Shop, 2786 N
Jerusalem Road, North Bellmore
 August 21, 2022 at 3:24 am – Unicorn Graphics, 971 Stewart Avenue, East
Garden City
 August 20, 2022 at 4:23 am – Convenience and Smoke Shop, 2125
Hempstead Turnpike, East Meadow
 August 19, 2022 at 6:49 am – Yay Scrubs, 451 Old Country Road, Westbury
 May 2, 2022 at 3:30 am – Yay Scrubs, 451 Old Country Road, Westbury
 April 16, 2022 at 12:30 am – Unicorn Graphics, 971 Stewart Avenue, East

After an extensive investigation, Defendant Scott Gilmor was located by police
at 316 N Franklin Avenue, Hempstead and placed under arrest without incident. 
 
Defendant Gilmor is charged with seven (7) counts of Burglary 3rd Degree, two (2) counts of Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree and six (6) counts of Possession of Burglar Tools. He will be arraigned on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at First District Court, Hempstead.
 
Defendant Gilmor was previously arrested May 18, 2022 for Burglary 3rd Degree and August 9, 2022 for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree and Obstructing  Governmental Administration. He was released without cash bail for both arrests.
