Teen Killed in East Patchogue Shooting, Authorities Report

East Patchogue, NY - July 4, 2018 - Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the death of a male who was shot in East Patchogue on Tuesday, July 3.
 
Fifth Precinct police officers responded to a residence on Hampton Ave. at 3:32 a.m. after a 911 caller reported a possible gunshot victim outside the residence. When officers arrived, the discovered Emilio Sanchez Maldonado, 17, a resident of the home, had been shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.
 
The investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information to call the Homicide Squad at 631-852-6392 or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
