With summer now in full swing, there’s no better way to experience all the beauty and extravagance of Long Island than by partaking in some of the many award-winning vineyards that call our island home. And when it comes to traveling to those vineyards in style, safety, and comfort, no one does it better than M&V Limousine of Commack.

M&V Limousine has been around since 1993, offering the very finest of both modern and classic vehicles to those looking to traverse Long Island and Manhattan in style. They aren’t your run-of-the-mill limo company; what sets them apart is a selection of quality limousines that their competitors can’t touch.

M&V boasts of a fleet of over 70 vehicles, ranging from classic and antique cars – including a 1937 Packard Super 8 limousine and a vintage Rolls-Royce Phantom – to sleek, modern models, such as Chrysler 300s, Mercedes Sprinters, party buses that can accommodate up to 55 passengers, and stretch SUV limos with every fancy extra imaginable.

In addition, many of M&V Limousine’s vehicles feature eye-popping accoutrements including chrome ceilings, state-of-the-art lighting and music systems, touch screen controls, and phone jacks so that passengers can actually DJ with their own tunes using their smartphones.

However, M&V recently faced the same hardships that many Long Island businesses did during the COVID-19 pandemic, but they managed to hang on due to the widespread popularity of their patented vineyard tours. The tours are something they have been offering for the past 18 years, and one of the few excursions they could provide last summer in the face of mandated safety restrictions, according to M&V Advertising Executive and Office Manager Renee D'Angelo.

“Due to COVID, we were limited by the types of tours we could offer, but because people really wanted to get out and do something last summer, the vineyard tours were our most popular option, and they really helped us get through the pandemic,” she said. “We did more vineyard tours than anything else last summer, and it was a big success. It helped us get by, and it helped a lot of people get out and have some fun.”

Now that the pandemic is winding down as COVID-19 vaccinations continue to increase, M&V Limousine is proud to announce that they are once again offering their vineyard tours this summer. Due to safety concerns, customers are required to pick which vineyards on Long Island they wish to visit, and to set up their own tastings beforehand; formally, before COVID concerns, M&V would handle the set-up themselves.

However, once the locations have been decided upon by the customer, they can count on M&V to pick them and their companions up at their respective homes and safely transport them to and from the vineyards of their choice, ensuring a fantastic day trip and the perfect way for people to blow off some steam after being cooped-up in their homes for the past year.

“Customers can let us know which vineyards they want to visit, and if they’re not sure, we can offer recommendations to them,” D’Angelo said. “In addition, we can also suggest other venues, such as breweries and other locations that may be of interest. It really all depends on where they want to go and what they want to do.”

And for people who may be looking for some way to experience some excitement this summer but are still leery of the lingering effects of COVID, D’Angelo gave assurances that M&V Limousine is still instituting industry-standard safety protocols in order to keep both their customers and staff safe at all times.

“We have the partition in the limos separating the driver from the passengers, and we always clean and sanitize all the surfaces in the vehicle after each excursion,” she said.  “And of course, we always encourage the use of masks unless customers have been fully-vaccinated, in which case they are completely optional.”

Ultimately, summer on Long Island affords people with the opportunity for exploration and enjoyment that few other places in the United States can provide, and if you’re finally feeling a bit of cabin fever after being shut in your home for the past year as the pandemic ran its course, a delightful vineyard tour courtesy of M&V Limousine might be just be what the doctor ordered.
