Suspect Wanted for Stealing Purse from Parked Car in Hauppauge

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Fourth Precinct Crime Section officers are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate a man who broke a car window and stole a bag in Hauppauge last month.

Hauppauge, NY - June 5th, 2015 -  Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Fourth Precinct Crime Section officers are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate a man who broke a car window and stole a bag in Hauppauge last month.

A man broke the passenger front window of a blue Toyota Rav-4 and stole a Coach handbag from within on May 5 between the hours of 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

The suspect appears to be a light-skinned Hispanic male, five feet 7 inches tall, in his 20s with a medium build.  The suspect was wearing a baseball hat and had his right arm in a sling.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
