Suffolk Sheriff Office Makes Felony Arrest After Subject Crashes Stolen ATV

On Sunday, May 21, The Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Sheriffs made a felony arrest after apprehending a male resident on a stolen All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV). Trevor Allen, age 26, of Middle Island, was charged with resisting arrest and possession of stolen property. 
 
While working an enforcement detail, Deputy Sheriff Inv. Sgt. Marco Calise, Deputy Sheriff James White, and Deputy Sheriff Dustin Defilippo observed a yellow ATV operating recklessly, speeding and interfering with the flow of traffic on northbound Sills Road, Yaphank.
 
The operator of the vehicle, Trevor Allen, soon lost control of his ATV and crashed into a stop sign.  After apprehending the subject, the Sheriff’s Office Deputies found that the 2016 Yamaha Raptor 700R, color yellow, was reported stolen in July of 2022. 
 
Allen was charged with (7) VTL infractions, Resisting Arrest- A Misdemeanor, and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 3rd degree-D Felony.
