The Homicide Squad is investigating a Vehicular Accident involving two (2) pedestrians that occurred on Saturday, April 1, 2023 a.m. in Hempstead.
According to detectives, while attempting to cross in the vicinity of 102 N. Franklin Avenue, from the west side to the east side, a male and female pedestrian were struck by a 2018 Jeep traveling Northbound on N. Franklin Avenue. The male, 38, and the female (unknown age) suffered multiple injuries and were transported to an area hospital.
The male is listed in stable condition.
The female is listed in critical condition.
The male operator, 40, remained at the scene.
The vehicle was brake and safety checked.
The investigation is ongoing.
